beyondDev

Always building. Never finished

A builder-first software brand from Kansas City. Side projects, passion apps, and the occasional contract — all shipped from one keyboard.

About beyondDev

A solo operation. No big team, no corporate polish — just builds.

Hi, I'm Nick.

beyondDev is my space to build the things I want to exist. By day I work in litigation support — as an analyst, project manager, and developer. By night, weekends, and any spare hour I can carve out, this is where the side projects live.

The name says it all: Always building. Never finished. There's always a next idea, a next feature, a next thing to learn. That's the whole point.

If you're looking for a glossy agency, this isn't that. If you're looking for someone who actually ships, you're in the right place.

What I'm Building

The current focus, the long-term ethos, and the door that's always open.

Current Focus

Flicksy

A group movie selection app built on a swipe-based mechanic — think Tinder for movie night. Participants join a session, swipe yes/no on titles, and a scoring algorithm surfaces the consensus pick. Built on Dart, ASP.NET Web API, and Supabase. In active development.

The Ethos

Apps I'd Want to Exist

Most of what I build starts the same way: I run into a problem, can't find a tool I actually like, and decide to make one. That's the long-term direction here — a growing collection of small, focused apps built with care, for people who appreciate the same.
